Greetings, I'm Joey. Let me start by saying, I didn't make this video to tell you who Greco is. I didn't make this to tell you how to feel, or sell you something. I leave that shit to the commercials during half-time. I simply had the idea of an ode to the life and career of Jim Greco. It was something I had to do. Period. I attempted to express and celebrate how I see his skating, while he is alive and well! As I was editing some of his classic clips, I couldn't help but notice a parallel between his explosive mob-like persona and characters in films like Casino or Mean Streets. You have people like Ace Rothstein or Johnny Boy who won't let people stand in their way while they are trying to conduct business, like Jim. A man who could probably have an entire city "wacked" in order to conduct his business, the business of dropping hammers and redefining that word (as you'll see in the video). I've seen those films 1000 times, but I always manage to discover something inspiring within those characters, as I do with Greco or Ellington, there skating always feels new to me or any one with some imagination.

Go drop some Hammers.
