Ms. Skali, a native of fes, gave a stellar performance of mostly classical Arabic music titles from artists such as smahan, farid al attrach, oum khaltoum, fairouz and others.
The MESTO: Multi-Ethnic Star Orchestra is made up of seasoned American professional musicians with diverse ethnic backgrounds conducted by maestro Nabil Salim Azzam, a talented conductor, composer and a versatile violonist and virtuoso oud instrumentalist.
Mr. Azzam has founded MESTO in 2001 to facilitate cultural tolerance and understanding between East and West through Music.
