Burma has been in the midst of civil war for over 60 years. After decades of violence, millions of people have been displaced.
Burma currently ranks near the bottom on the UN’s Human Development Index, and a mere 1% of their gross domestic product is spent on education. This is one of the lowest percentages in the world.
In the midst of these circumstances, Corina works tirelessly to educate the children of Mae La Refugee Camp. This is her story.
Corina's schools are a project of Australian Mercy.
