An early sketch of a visualization of search term frequency at the MIT Libraries.
The occurrence of individual words (abstracted from the search phrases) were counted to show (in this case, the log of) the relative frequency of the top 200 search terms.
The scattered positions of the terms were a mistake and aren't spatially related to their frequency, but I loved how it looked.
