Lebanese young manager, burkinabe cacao field owner and planter, malian dockers : three immigration stories gravitating around one central thing : The cacao. This reportage dives into an emblematic microcosm of cacao production, and depicts one facet of ordinary life around cacao stocking. It presents a visual account away from the almost-mythological flashy and bling-bling stereotypes around people in this economic activity. But its also highlighting the human dimension of migrant-related question, and projecting on bigger dilemmas of mobility, post-colonial sense of belonging and nationality as well as economic exploitation in West Africa.
