On Wed., Sept. 25, 2013, the Levantine Cultural Center presented an intimate dinner program with author Tamim Ansary, author of two important titles, "Destiny Disrupted, a History of the World Through Islamic Eyes," and "Games Without Rules, the Often Interrupted History of Afghanistan."
Tamim Ansary was introduced by the eminent Peter Scarlet, a citizen of the world with addresses in Abu Dhabi and elsewhere who has been the director of numerous major film festivals, among them San Francisco, Tribeca and Abu Dhabi.
The evening was generously hosted by writer-photographer Janet Sternburg and her partner Steven Lavine, President of the California Institute of the Arts, one of the top--rated universities in the country for arts education.
