1. Direct Cause - Trailer

Paul Deckard is a cold blooded, professional killer, working unofficially for the government. After a terrible mistake he wants to quit his job.
But the government now sees him as a threat and wants to liquidate him.
From now on, Deckard is on the run...
"Direct Cause" is a low-budget movie produced in Switzerland which will premiere early in 2010. The length will be approx. 40 minutes.
Preproduction began in June.
It was shot on the Canon XH-A1 in 10.5 days (spread over 6 weekends in August and September). One day remaining for a retake of a scene.
For the long take we had a professional steadicam operator with his real hollywood steadicam on set, that was fun! :P
Our Equipment includes a Kesslercrane Cameracrane, DVtec Multirig Shoulder Mount and a Lowel Super Ambi Lighting Set.

You can control alot of the blacks and whites with the Luma Curve you have in lots of applications (we use Adobe Premiere Pro). And also the vimeo flash is quite dark.
Sehr aufwändig. Mensch das ist kein Amateurfilm.
Ich bin so gespannt auf den Streifen.
Other than that, we used mostly the default settings, NO noise reduction (made that mistake once, it totally destroys the image) but a little correction for the blacks (I think knee/black stretch?) And just always keep the aperture wide open, but no specific presets...

The lighting on this set was created by a professional gaffer, but the Lights belong to us, it's a Lowel Super Ambi Kit and a few construction lights, most with color/diffusion/ND gels.
Sieht man den Film auch noch wo anders als an der Premiere?
