Sept. 24, 2013: The College of Social Sciences and the department of Ethnic Studies marked the release of a new research report that presents key demographic and socioeconomic findings about the state’s little-examined but fast growing Mexican-origin population. The co-authors of the report, Dr. Jeanne Batalova, Migration Policy Institute that published the report, Dr. Monisha Das Gupta, Ethnic Studies and Women's Studies, and Sue Haglund, Political Science presented the findings and their implications. The release of the report coincided with the Hispanic Heritage Month.
