No offense, but it seems like Suzuki method with American(a) repertoire... not that there's anything wrong w/ that... but other than repertoire, how does it differ from Suzuki?

I am THRILLED with this new method! American kids can certainly relate more to their OWN music more so than European music (that can come later!). I LOVE the fact that O'Connor's method is similar to Suzuki....he seems to have planned out "skill acquisition", which is something I love about the Suzuki material. I plan to apply the concepts of Suzuki training to the O'Connor materials, and attempt to also foster some creativity and improvisational skills as well! Bravo, Mr. O'Connor!
