The Lower Ninth Ward 4 Years Later (EA Hanks & Jonah Evans)
On my first trip to New Orleans, I asked my good friend Jonah Evans, a post-storm transplant who's fighting the good fight (like trying to save Charity Hospital and the neighborhood around it) to show me around.
This is us walking and driving around the Lower Ninth Ward, the neighborhood that was decimated when the storm surge in theIndustrial canal broke the eyewall that was supposed to protect homes and families.
Please forgive the general lack in quality in regards to: the audio, the visuals, the editing, my hair.
If you're interesting in helping a struggling post-Katrina New Orleans, please check out rebuildingtogether.org.
Stay tuned for a visit to Charity Hospital.
