GoogleCom Video for One of Florida's Greatest bands and most important songwriting masters. "Mercury in Retrograde" hits with a ton of twists and turns as it dazzles with it's Great Rush like Melodies. The great ironic lyrics are hillarious as Reverse toys with you with this opening teaser of a song - after this track, the rest of the album focuses more on more standard 4/4 beat material that is perfectly geared for alternative rock radio. Reverse may come off as way too serious and not indeed funny enough for today's emosters BUT the songwriting and guitar qualities in Reverse cannot be denied. THE FACT IS THAT THIS BAND IS BETTER THAN MOST BANDS and if they were given equal time and chance, they would simply pass others by and with ease. Three piece bands often face challenges - but not Reverse,....these guys completely fill up their sound and when they play up loud,..it sounds as if there are five guys jamming !! "Mercury" is a classic that may not completely represent Reverse. One really has to hear the rest of this entire album "Max Q" and then they are highly likely to fully appreciate the tons of diverse songwriting ideas,..many completely alien to the song you just heard before !! Great band !! GREAT ALBUM
