This fair-use video commentary is educational in nature in that it explains via illustration similar story aspects between the film Bigger Than Life (1956) and the TV series Breaking Bad. Bigger Than Life, which was directed by Nicolas Ray, is based on a New Yorker article by Burton Roueche. The screenplay for Bigger Than Life was written by Cyril Hume and Richard Maibaum. The TV series Breaking Bad was created by Vince Gilligan. This video is non-commercial and only uses an amount necessary from the originals to show the similarities between Bigger Than Life and Breaking Bad. This video is transformative in that it has added value to the originals by creating insight and understanding about story lines, story writing and the similarities between Bigger Than Life and Breaking Bad. By juxtaposing clips of Bigger Than Life with Breaking Bad, I have transformed the originals. The purpose of this video is to inform the public. This video has no negative effects on either Bigger Than Life or Breaking Bad, and does not interfere with the marketing of the originals. This video is a fair use.
