Dr. Gerry Koocher visited our counseling psychology program and met with students on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009. Dr. Koocher is the preeminent expert on ethics and professional development in psychology. He is the author of the most frequently adopted textbook in ethics, “Ethics in Psychology and the Mental Health Professions.” His book is used in our doctoral ethics class. Dr. Koocher is also immediate past president of the American Psychological Association and has published hundreds of articles and book chapters in ethics, pediatric child psychology, and children with chronic illness.
