As schools across the state of Washington struggle with the discipline issue, Northwest Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) provides one answer. The Executive Director of NWPBIS, Lori Lynass, is a former teacher. She has two kids. She just wants them to be safe at school. That's why she's so involved with PBIS. Her teaching career began teaching juvenile youth in prison. That's where she first became aware of the complexity of the problem. Today she's an advocate for children and their parents.
