Belgium design studio Unfold were invited to exhibit their L'Artisan Electronique project as part of The Aram Gallery's Send to Print / Print to Send exhibition in January 2012. This timely exhibition was the first in London dedicated to the then, mysterious new process of digital 3D manufacture.

This video shows a customised 3D printer being used to print a continuous strand of clay to create a vessel. A digital tool enables a virtual pottery wheel to be shaped by hand before printing, neatly synchronising a traditional technique with a new digital technology.

Printing time between 30mins and 1.5 hours
