There is the big "T" tribulation that believers in Jesus will not have to face in the future, and little "t" tribulations that we all face each and every day. Repenting of your sins, and accepting the forgiveness of Jesus, will cause you to avoid the coming wrath of God in the imminent future, called the Great Tribulation.
