Two fluorescent bulbs blew out recently in the hallway of my apartment. Instead of throwing them in the trash, I decided to be responsible and figure out how to recycle them. After visiting the DSNY's terrible Web site, I figured out where I had to go in Manhattan to get this done... this is where I ended up.
