A gift for Cheryl Hutchinson. A special thank you to Colin C. Njemanze, Brad Ferrel and Derek Kirk. This was a 3 camera shoot using 2 SLR Canon cameras with a 24-105mm L Series lense. Also shot on an HD Samsung Galaxy 4.1-86.1mm 1:2.8-5.0 23mm zoom lens camera. Edited in Premiere and title done in After Effects, this is the largest shoot for a graduation we've done. With one camera operator short, there are some improvements to be made in future events like this. I intend to create production layouts in the pre-production process to make this more smooth. A steady cam is going to be a must. This was pretty much a last minute shoot. Original music will be composed for the DVD menu done by artist and sound; Holly Prothman. The features will include the main sequence and extras. The DVD menu will be authored in Adobe Encore. This video has no current filters or color corrections. I could change a couple of minor things on the timeline. Over all, the difference between purchasing the DVD from the college and one from Girl5 is the personal touch and the fact that it's not 4 hours long. I tried to get a hold of some more people to record their own message but they were out of reach. The lesson is to add this to this notion to the pre-production planning phase and start early in getting in touch with the people who couldn't make it. This will reduce the time spent acquiring them in post production.
