This video is from an interview in September 2013 near Jennings Kansas. The interviewer was there to purchase Turkey Red wheat for use at his bakery in Dallas, Texas.Turkey Red is an "heirloom grain" that has a wonderful flavor profile. Bryce Stephens is a farmer and rancher in northwest Kansas. He has a degree in Anthropology, with studies in business and education at Wichita State University and law at Washburn University. He carries on the family’s tradition on 1,000 acres where he primarily raises wheat and livestock at Stephens Land and Cattle. He grows and maintains a landrace wheat called “Turkey Red” introduced to the Plains by Mennonites. Demetria Stephens is his daughter and a certified organic grower as well.
