Chief Motion Series: Robin Mayoralgo
Who are you?
-- Robin Alexander A. Mayoralgo
What do you do?
-- Licensed Real Estate Broker
What are you passionate about?
-- I am very passionate about music and making a difference in people's lives. Music will always be something I can never let go of. It's what helps me understand diversity and different cultures - everything is better with music. Everything. It just makes life better. Music is what inspired me to dream bigger so I can touch people's lives even for just a moment, a day, a month, a year. I want to be able to cultivate all my resources to be able to provide sustainable jobs for people, create living and breathing spaces that are sustainable, and educate as many people about the potential of the Filipino. Especially the youth, the illustrados or the enlightened, that our vote someday can make a difference and we shouldn't be swayed but personal ties for the betterment of this country.
What are the top three things you want to do now?
-- First, I would like to settle my assets. I'm currently paying for a condominium that I acquired in Makati and hopefully have enough leverage for a new car. Second, I would like to diversify my portfolio into not only real estate and mutual funds, but also stocks and life insurance. Finally, I would like to keep improving myself in body, mind and spirit in the hopes of someday settling down and starting a family.
Where do you want to travel?
-- I have not gone out of the country much, but I believe that our country would be the best to be explored. It's quite affordable for what you are getting and the only way to truly understand our countrymen is to be with them. I went to 2 Asian countries this year, and it will be my first time in the United States in a few months so I am really excited for that. As for future plans, I would like to explore our country more - not just festivals - but also the everyday life. And of course, before I'm 30, I would like to take a Eurotrip and hopefully part of it is Tomorrowland in Belgium.
What makes an experience memorable to you?
-- What makes an experience memorable is what the experience meant to you. Be it a milestone, liberation, or feeling comfort and pleasure. However, the more important people you share that experience with, the more meaningful the experience becomes.
What’s the most memorable experience you ever had?
-- The most memorable experience I've had so far would be a sale I had this year where a client had deposited a reservation fee (hundreds of thousands of pesos) via wire transfer from a different country without having to meet me face to face. That kind of trust in my service behind the computer screen really touched me.
What do you want to achieve?
-- First, I would like to first start a family someday and teach my children what my parents have taught me - to be humble. Second, I would like to build a sustainable community with my siblings that will provide jobs and elevate the standard of living for some of our countrymen. Finally, I want to live a comfortable but modest life.
Words you live by?
-- Too legit to quit - MC Hammer
Lastly, do you have something that you regret not doing?
-- No regrets so far. Why live in the past? Make do with today and invest it in your future.
