We spent the day in Yosemite hiking to the top of Vernal Falls. Although a bit "touristy" it was one of the most scenic hikes we've done. The second part of the hike (not shown in this video) where we went on another roughly 2 miles to the top of Nevada Falls was even more beautiful. The crowd also thinned down quite a bit which was nice - probably only 20% of folks continued on to the top of Nevada Falls.
Soon after we got back there was a huge wildfire that consumed a large part of the park. It was kind of bittersweet because we were sad to hear about the destruction but felt like we lucked out by making our trip just a few weeks earlier.
