You are watching the Berlin based band static. static used to be only one guy - Hanno Leichtmann - a drummer and electronica artist. His first electronica album came out about 6 or 7 years ago and I was still into that kind of music. Shortly after that I moved on but I can still see / hear that he was / is a very interesting musician... but I didn´t follow any of his later releases and have only heard about a year ago that static is now a 3 piece band. I was surprised to see them that night because I actually came to see black dice and expected a more noisy first band...
It turned out that their concert was quite nice especially Leichtmann´s drumming. I am not sure about the singing but anyway if you like dubby live performed electronica with a touch of disco you should probably go and check them out.
