I don´t really know what to say about this...
It is Monopolka from St. Peterburg in Russia performing at the Festsaal Kreuzberg basement in march 2008.
That was the very same night that I perfomed with Leo Mars and Astro with Reiko A. and Sudden Infant were performing as well. Monopolka was the last act - like a special surprise act and in fact it was very surprising - surprisingly dangerous...
I was sitting next to the stage were the Leo Mars equipment was still standing. I was told that the next act likes to jump on tables and I wanted to be there to protect our equipment. But then this guy started crashing beer bottles on his little table and the glass was flying through the whole room. I filmed this hiding behind the phone. His performance was about 5 minutes long and by then it seemed like the whole room was destroyed. People in the audience were bleeding, he was bleeding because he cut his hand open (and I saw that he did it on purpose) and in the end this girl and one of his friends came on stage to sream and beat him up...
I am not sure if this is still acceptable. It was really freakin dangerous. I know the music industry is hard and you have to come up with very original and sometimes extreme ideas but you should never really go so far and harm your audience.
Funny thing was that after the concert there were still a handfull of people in front of the stage - full of his blood or bleeding themselves and I think they liked it.
