October 12 and 13, 2013:
Outdoor Arts Festival
Come and enjoy the Bruce Museum’s 32nd Annual Outdoor Arts Festival. More than 85 artists from all over the country, many of them new to the show, will be on the Museum grounds to show you and discuss their work. Paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, mixed media pieces and photography in color as well as black and white are all available for purchase.
Make a weekend of it and tap your feet to pop rock music by Remember September on Saturday and folk/pop by Ubuntu, or sample classical guitar music by soloists Annalisa Ewald and Ed Wright. Of course, there is delicious food to keep you going: favorite Thai Taste Restaurant is joined this year by Lobster Craft and Wendy's Weenies. Yum!
You are invited to try your own hand on art activities especially designed for families in the Museum’s Education Workshop, and we hope your kids will take part in the children's drawing contest. At 2:00 pm each day please check out artist Carol Boucher who will demonstrate and teach pastels on the Museum's front porch.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Arts Festival.
