Clarence Two Toes wanted to honour one of the greatest leaders of all time, in his own way, and so he turned to one of his great loves to communicate how he was feeling. Clarence is a "closet poet" and he decided that today, Nov. 16/2009, the 114th anniversary of Riel's death, would be the day that he shares some spoken word poetry to honour Louis Riel and his legacy.
Louis Riel was the great Metis leader that is the founder of what is now the Province of Manitoba. A great leader and a man that fought for the preservation of the Metis culture, Riel was killed by the Government of Canada for treason.
