A small collection of some of the most succesful clips from our upcoming independent short film "Gold Digger".
The quality of the Black Magic Cinema Camera makes a lot of things possible for independent filmmakers. You don't necessarily need RAW, but a caring hand in post production will work wonders!
Our vision, though, called for more than great camera quality. The visuals in "Gold Digger" are a combination of location scouting, redesigning our own homes, homemade props, a lot of favours, lighting, and a lot of waiting for the weather.
We're looking forward to sharing this short film with this community when we are ready.
The entire project was shot in Proress 1080p film log, and graded in DaVinci resolve, with the help from a Kodak film LUT.
Most of the short film was shot with a Samyang 24mm T1.5
Lesson learned: this camera makes the best results at 400 ASA.
Budget: None. We spent a bit less than 1.500$ of our own savings, most of it for food and transportation for the actors.
