11. First Test Flight of the ASW-28 electric glider
2 years ago
Couple of test flights of a ASW-28 electric from FlyFly. The model is fast, very stable, a bit heavy and need a lot of nose weight to be balanced. The flight is very nice but it needs a very powerful handlaunch, once in flight is very easy to pilot at all speeds.

Hey there. My ASW-28 from FlyFLy is also converted to electric. Nice video. I will be making some of my own HD videos with the ASW-28 soon. Yes the nose needs lots of weight so I just ordered a larger motor. What thrust are you getting from your motor?

  • oh that wasn't my glider, I just build it for a friend and test fly it... by the way it was way too tail heavy.

I used the same motor I had on a Cularis, a Hacker - 10 A30-12L with Aeronaut carbon blades 12x6,5", 3 cell 3 Amps Lipos. With this setup it climbs at 40° maximum with full throttle

Felipe, I fly my FlyFly ASW-28 50minutes from NYC. I bought mine from HobbyLobby.
