Dr. Jacques Lipetz received his undergraduate degree and a Master’s at Brown University. He continued his education at Yale University earning a doctorate in Biology, which was followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the Rockefeller University. For several years he taught, researched, published and presented public lectures. He taught at Drexel University, Neuman College, Manhattan College, The New School and Columbia. Dr. Lipetz is currently in private practice as a Psychologist. Dr. Lipetz came to talk to the students about growing up in World War II Antwerp, Belgium and recounted his experiences there. Dr. Lipetz is the grandfather of Sofia Weingarten (6th grade 2013-2014) and Elena Weingarten (3rd grade 2013-2014).
