This short time-lapse film describes the winter light during the "dark-season" as experienced north of the Arctic Circle. During this period the sun does not rise for several weeks. The only natural light available is from the stars, the moon and, of course, the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).
All sequences are filmed during this period with the aid of the light from the full or gibbous moon. This creates a different quality of light compared to sequences taken without moonlight (see the short film "The Elusive Aurora").
Location: the Kvæfjord, Ofoten and Harstad areas of Northern Norway.
Music: "Mourning Prayer 2" by Paul Summerlin, licensed through Audiosocket.
Produced with Adobe and LRTimelapse.
