suggestion: instead of moving the cursor off to the side to change text size and font, why not highlight text you want changed, and then use the mouse's control wheel to change the size through general formatting sizes, ie h1 h2 h3 paragraph ... and option-scrollwheel for fonts? your eye would stay with your text and that free-flowing zen thing would still be going on. i would also make the option of autosaving / incremental autosaving available. shift-option-scrollwheel perhaps to jump back to previous versions of the document. if you want to branch it and work on a different tangent, a 'branch? y/n' dialogue would do. might facilitate drafts for the writers out there.
i guess it all depends on if it's a typewriter emulator, straight text editor, or WP app. thanks though, will check out the beta.

It is the best app I've used in years. beautiful beautiful beautiful. perfect balance between simplicity and function. nice design. nice concept, good thinking behind it. I'm currently writing my book with ommwriter. ommm :)

Just downloaded v2. Very nice app! And the change of misspelled words attributes with greyed out words instead of red underlines is great. usually cuts in your eyes.

I'm curious about using Ommwriter now, but I also like using Writeroom with its dark DOS-like screen.

Looks beautiful but (and I'm sure you've already heard this a million times) the typing sound in the video is so obnoxiously annoying I almost swore not to ever try the software out of spite. Seriously, and when you 'change' it to add reverb it became even MORE annoying.

Anyway nice software though lol....
