It’s National Breast Cancer Month and Dallas Fire-Rescue is joining other fire departments across the country to show their support by wearing pink, from October 11th to the 19th. Organizers say it’s all in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer research, and show support for those who have been affected by this deadly disease. In fact, it’s a passion for Senior Fire Prevention Officer and lead advocate, Shanetra Brown, who is a two time survivor.
