Welcome to St. Mark's Lutheran Church!

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark's. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news about God's grace, love, and forgiveness to us through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Our congregation also operates a Lutheran school for students in pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. If you would like to learn more about our church or school, please contact one of our pastors, the principal, or another representative of our church or school. They would be happy to assist you.

Season of the Church Year:
We are presently in the Pentecost season of the church year. Pentecost Day (Acts 2:1-41) is celebrated seven weeks after Easter and marks the birth of the Christian Church. The Sundays after Pentecost emphasize the life of the Church and the life of the Christian in light of the life, death, and resurrection of the Jesus Christ.

Focus of Today's Service:
The Christian life is sometimes described as “following Jesus.” Today's Scripture readings helps us see what exactly it means to follow Jesus. We follow him faithfully, we follow him even though difficulties, and we follow him thankfully. May the Holy Spirit keep us faithful followers of Jesus throughout this life and into eternal life!
