The XA-20 is a very good camera for its price-range. I wanted to enhance the video-quality further to give it a more "filmy look". In other words: I bought a variable ND-filter to enable me to film with an open iris, thus getting the shallow depth of field which we all want these days.
This weekend, while going for a walk with my family I tested the filter. At the same time I used the opportunity to test the slowmotion-function in the camera. That means that the camera shoots 50 fps, but saves those 50 frames over 2 seconds in the video file. This true slow motion is in other words half of the actual speed.
For the record: NONE OF THE VIDEO-FILES HAS BEEN GRADED IN POST
