We made a trip to the south-end of Okinawa to visit the Okinawan Peace Memorial Park on a windy Monday morning. This gorgeous area is perched upon shear cliffs, with both Pacific and China seas crashing against the rock. The park memorializes those lost in the largest battle of the Pacific theater during WWII and the thousands lost, with specific focus on the civilian Okinawan population that suffered losses far greater than Japan and the US.
