Dance company director Maru Montero visits El Salvador to learn about Salvadoran dance traditions. The Maru Montero Dance Company in Washington, DC, plans to present Salvadoran dances in the nation's capital. Dancers, artists, educators and government officials in El Salvador were very generous in sharing their cultural traditions for "Dancing Across Borders." Maru hosts the National Cinco de Mayo Festival in Washington. The Festival will include performers and dances from El Salvador, among the many Latin American and Caribbean countries represented.
