American Express put together "An Intimate Evening with Jon Bon Jovi and Friends" at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in NYC on 11/16/2009 for cardholders only. We were invited to cover the event and Twittered about it using the #amexjovi tag.

Bon Jovi spoke with director Phil Griffin and played several songs during the appearance all in this video: "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night", "Who Says You Can't Go Home", "Livin' On A Prayer", "Lost Highway", "Whole Lot of Leavin'", "Superman Tonight", "We Weren't Born To Follow", Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", and "Wanted Dead or Alive".

After the evening finished with an audience Q&A, the audience left and received a copy of the new Bon Jovi album "The Circle", a DVD of the band's documentary "When We Were Beautiful", and a hardcover companion book to the film.

It was an impressive evening watching a performer who normally plays to crowds of 50,000+ interacting with a few hundred.
