This powerful quote by the legendary Yves Saint Laurent is truly indicative of Elsa Schiaparelli's strong effect on the fashion capital of the world. Through our promotional efforts, commercials, and other means of advertising, we hope convey the aforementioned sentiments when re-launching the Schiaparelli brand, which is set to hit shelves on September 10, 2011.
The huge impact that Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli had on the fashion industry is undeniable, and her legend continues to leave its mark. Unfortunately, Schiaparelli was unable to adapt to the quick changes in fashion following World War II, causing her business to close in 1954. Her bold pieces, especially the incorporation of her ever-so-popular “shocking pink,” set a high standard for her predecessors. We want to bring Schiaparelli back, and feel strongly that this time the brand will be better than ever.
