This shows how, in the next version of DEM Earth, you will be able to directly embed any kind of height data, at any resolution, directly into DEM Earth, using the standard ASC format.
All you need to do, is to make sure your ASC file is in degrees, and has the datum, WGS84. ASC is a bog standard format, supprted by all GIS aspplications.
Embedding an ASC file has many advantages over loading it as a static mesh. The main one is that you are not dependent on the resolution, of the ASCf file. You can then control the the LOD you require, whilst blending into 30 or 90 meter free data sets.
