There is a detailed introduction in the video, but in a nutshell, this is a slideshow presentation about Bastrop State Park. In the fall of 2011, the majority of the 6,600 acre park was burned in the worst wildfire of Texas history. The first half of the slideshow contains images from a photography book I created to raise funds for the park's recovery. I took the photos in the last spring before the fire. The rest of the slideshow contains images taken one month to a year or so after the fire.
By reserving 50% of the profits from the sale of the books and prints, I have raised $350 for the Friends of Lost Pines State Parks organization, which provides the park with immediate access to donated monies. This project was partially funded by a grant from The Puffin Foundation. After the 15% deduction from Vimeo, the remainder of tips for this video will be split 50/50 between myself and Bastrop State Park.
