super work here.....I did the same thing for my new daughter with an EX-1.........which I just sold today in order to buy the 5D and some accessories. I loved the EX-1, but the look of this camera; dof or whatever people see in it, is stunning... and I can't wait to shoot my now 15 month old daughgter. Any tips for setup with the 5d? It looks like you did some grading in Magic Bullet perhaps. I'll be editing in Premiere, and hopefully won't have issues with the files. Curious......why the relatively long lens for a closeup piece; and don't get me wrong, I love it.

i had to reply... simply because i absolutely love this short....

and you're missing the point totally...
what do you mean focus "isn't always right"?... the in and out of focus only adds to it's beauty... the softness adds to the overall feel of the short...if everything was pin sharp it would just be boring... it's like we are seeing her for the first time... the shakiness, that you refer to, simply amplifies, (in my opinion), the camera mans view, investigating Rae and waiting for the right moment... constantly searching...

Wow what a great video. You captured the moment perfectly. My daughter will be born within 2 weeks and I was almost bought to tears watching this.

Did you use post processing? Also, it looks grainy at parts (which adds to the qualityin my opinion). Was the ISO set up pretty high to compensate for the long lens and (presumably) low light?
