As a child brought up in the Scottish countryside, surrounded by natures fascinating superfluity of sights, sounds and sense-awakening vibrancy, visits to the city were both daunting and awe inspiring. Whilst I did and continue to marvel in the bustle, dazzle, hubbub and magic of inner Glasgow, for moments of tranquility only a heartbeat from the action,The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum has long been my safe haven. Childhood visits to the Kelvingrove crept on through my art school student days where hours could be whiled away amidst the Renaissance splendour, Glasgow Boys ethereal palette of calm, every manner of clothe and costume and, of course, the butterfly collection.

Our Spring Summer 2013 collection and fashion film are primarily inspired by the moth, butterfly and locust collection within Glasgow's magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Exploration into the study of entomology and the pupal transformation of caterpillar into butterfly through metamorphosis - a process which has fascinated me since a young age and my very first Kelvingrove adventure - assisted in forming the basis for the campaign concept.
