A 10-minute video tribute to my favorite director Terrence Malick. The video mixes images, sounds and music from his last two pictures -- The Thin Red Line and The New World. Word to cinematographers John Toll and Emmanuel Lubezki, and composer Hans Zimmer

Terrence Malick is a great member of the greatest club: Kubrick, Kurosawa, Coppola, Tarkovski, Renoir, Hithcock, Buñuel, Welles, Erice, Kiarostami...
Beautiful video, truly nice tribute to that great poet, thank you Tom.

just wait till tree of life in 70mm. Im sure it will be awesome. Thin red line in 70mm blew my face off. And I love how they did new world with no lights, hardly any camera support and even used period tools to build their jamestown.

yeah, and the IMAX version will not only be 70mm, but 15-perf IMAX 70mm!

Dude awesome made tears come to my eyes. I have to get out there and watch those movies again, well actually i have not watched the new world yet the shame! The Thin Red Line is the first movie I could really call a spiritual war movie amazing! And I think Jim Cavaziel's best performance period, and the score dont get me started!

You know I have this in my likes and never wrote a comment on it...I was so captured that I lost what I was thinking. Kind of like what ever it was, was not as important as what the video made me feel.

Passionate love is always better through Malick's eyes.

Ok, Tom, you did it: Malick's powerful vision is even better through your singular eyes.

    Serious matter, yeah.
