This film depicts the innovative learning taking place in the rural schools on plains of Nebraska. The film crew spent the better part of a year traveling to each corner of the state to capture students and teachers and their dynamic and sometimes surprising projects.

Later this film was granted the Local Legacy Award by the United States Library of Congress where the film is now in a special collection.
