The EU’s Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) is an investment in the future of the EU, making Europe safer and more prosperous. It supports the stability and prosperity of the enlargement countries and helps them to work on the transformation of their societies, legal systems and economies. At the same time, the funds help the EU reach its own objectives towards a sustainable economic recovery as well as in areas such as environment and climate change, transport or energy supply.
The video features successful projects and shows the scope and impact of the EU’s pre-accession assistance. For this video, the IPA funded projects have been documented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Turkey.
*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence.
