    Is the video feature essentially similar?
    Or have they improved it?

    I'm a Canon shooter, so I'm debating on purchasing the 5D II.

    Well currently, the 7D can do 24fps and 30 fps at 1920x1080 as well as 60fps at 1280x720 - but there is supposed to be a firmware update for the 5D to do the same thing. currently the 5D can only do 30fps. the 5D is a full frame camera, and the 7D is a crop sensor camera.

    Or, I'm sure the 7D is in no way an upgrade to the 5DII?
    Bah, I don't know.

    I shoot film, so I've decided that there is no way I can go to a crop sensor.
