A really cool film, but i understand it not completly.
The elder Ethan with the beard play with the Band Phoenix on Tour. He make Synth and Percussion. I saw him on the The Frist Day of Spring album cover after i was on a show from Phoenix, Noah and the Whale where there too.

I've been infatuated with this album since its release late last year. I've just now watched the film. I reckon it beautifully complements the album's achingly haunting texture & narrative. Both film & album are a wonderful, terrible, tender journey. Pure beauty. True inspiration.

Hmm I really don't know how to start this comment because there is so much I would like to tell you...maybe with the request to excuse my mistakes in language since I am not a native because I am living in germany;)…I do not want to sound like a stalker or something like that, I just want you to know, that I gain so much from your albums and this film.

By now I have watched the film for five times and every time it was stunning in a brilliant way. I couldn't imagine such an emotional film telling the complex story about the past love of your life including time warps with different actors without using any long dialogues. The listeners and spectators can feel how much love, passion, spirit and emotion in this wonderful album and film is. I didn't knew the way of telling a story like that, but the connection of your awesome songs with those perfect recorded pictures is pure beauty for me.
I can't count how often I have put your album into the CD player yet (addiotionally my last fm scrobbler doesn't work anymore;D), however it was a pleasant surprise to listen to the album in connection with the film. For me it was like switching the point of view so that it was possible to understand each song in a different way than before. Additionally, I can perceive your songs more intensively when I watch the film.
In my opinion, the beauty of this piece of art cannot be described in words.

You have fascinated me when I saw you for the first time circa one year ago as support of Phoenix in Bielefeld, Germany and by now you even enchant me every single day again when I listen to one of your songs.
Thank you for everything you are giving to me through your songs! :-)
