After working on mobility, rhythm and mechanics with this athlete he improved his running motion and addressed recurring shin pain which was noticeable following each run.
In this video, the athlete is demonstrating good rhythm, landing close to his centre of mass (his foot position is underneath hips at point of full weight baring), relaxed ankles and foot position (landing Ball of foot with heel touching the ground momentarily afterwards), arms used for rhythm and balance, upright posture, eyesight looking ahead.
Athlete's improved mechanics enable him to run relaxed, increased shock absorption, with increased efficiency as we have eliminated the braking force caused by over striding and muscle action utilised with a slow rhythm (cadence).
