"Furusato" is a Japanese children's song composed by Teiichi Okano and written by Tatsuyuki Takada in 1914. The song laments the loss of and old (furu) village (sato) left behind by the rapid modernization that swept Japan in the late nineteenth century. Almost from the moment of its composition, 'Furusato' became an instant hit, and to this day is familiar to consecutive generations of Japanese.

Recorded on March 5, 2013 at the 'Fujii Percussion & Voices' concert presented by Soundstreams At Koerner Hall in Toronto, Canada. Performed by Haruka Fujii, Mutuko Fujii, Rika Fujii, and the Toronto Children’s Chorus, Chorale
