There he reunites with Brother, his long-ago friend, and rallies the prisoners to a frenzied prison break.

    This is from apple's site
"Kisses Over Babylon was shot on a Red One camera and posted using Apple's Final Cut Studio 3. Visual Effects were created by Benjamin Kutsko in Shake, while the “optical” zooms (that give Kisses much of its a western feel) were achieved by exporting 4K prores444 quicktimes from Color into FCP."

Amazing. Loved their last album, but this stuff blew me away

Is he Jesus Christ? Why do bad people try to kill him and why is he singing so bad in a strange language? He looks like an illegal immigrant to me, is he one? We should send him and his comrades to Arizona.
The music was so terrible I wanted to hit my head to the wall...... Waste of time and money.

Hi - For those asking about camera - it was shot on the Red One - we used Arri lenses (Indi Rentals) - we shot in downtown LA (Prison), Bronson Caves (wheel), Soggy Dry lake bed (desert) and a friends swiming pool (water sequence). Thanks for all the rad comments.
  • Giulio Sciorio plus 1 year ago
Thanks for sharing but I say who cares what tools were used here. What's here is art, skill and determination to do something different and I think what is created is genre busting.

I applaud the team for making something that's not a commercial "me too" video but a pice of art that complements the music. I grew up with MTV since day one (MTV sucks now) and have seen many videos. Sadly the art form has turned to shit.

It was very refreshing to see this piece. I hope it makes waves in the industry and gets people to wake the fuck up and start making kick ass music videos again which are too few and far between.

    Solid solid work.
