The maiden of my Lunak, and my aeromod Voltij, enjoying some favourable but cold weather at Long Mynd.
The wind was about 20-30 mph and very turbulent. Some showers passed through which gave the light a surreal at sometimes quality. The Westerley facing slope provides a perfect sunset backdrop.
This video is a commentary of the highlights of the days action.
Initial thoughts are the Lunak is a superb aerobat, and looks a peach in the air. I think is going to be one if my favourite models. The airbrakes were largely ineffective and some rudder side slipping, wing wobbling was required to drop the speed of the model to try to slow it down for a slope landing.
The route to the slope involves a rather windy and at precarious ridge so watch out if you suffer from vertigo.
Thanks for watching.
